The President of the Republic of Kazakhstan plans to hold a large meeting on sports. This was announced by the first deputy head of the Presidential Administration of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Dauren Abaev, during an interview in the Open Dialogue-2.0 program, Kazpravda.kz reports.
“The head of state has already spoken about the Olympics. The result of the Olympic team does not correspond to the sports potential of our country. I think everyone agrees with this statement. In such a situation, the easiest way is to fire someone, reorganize, and everything will calm down, but the system will continue to work," the speaker noted.
According to him, now the task is different - to work on the mistakes, to analyze all the processes in this area.
“By the way, the President set the main vector - this is the development of mass and children's sports. We will focus on this.
That is, the most important thing is to ensure the availability of sports infrastructure in the city and in the countryside, to involve as many children as possible in free sports clubs. Of course, training of qualified trainers and instructors is needed", - added Abaev.
He noted that a lot of analytical and auditing work will be done.
"It will be under the direct control of Kassym-Jomart Tokayev. Looking ahead, I will say that the President plans to hold a big meeting on sports in the fall. Naturally, the public will be informed about all innovations in the field of sports," concluded Dauren Abaev.
