Work of markets and farming businesses will be halted on Kurban Ait in Nur-Sultan

In Nur-Sultan, work of markets and farming businesses will be halted during the Eid al-Adha. This was announced by the head of the department for religious affairs of the capital, Nurdaulet Almukhanov, at a briefing at the akimat, Kazpravda.kz correspondent reports.
According to him, in order to ensure sanitary-epidemiological safety and prevent a mass gathering of people, the work of markets and farming businesses, where sacrifices were traditionally held on the days of Kurban Ait, will be suspended.
"In 2021, the Kurban Ait holiday is from July 20 to July 22. In view of the sanitary-epidemiological situation, the holiday prayer Ait Namaz will not be held in the city's mosques on July 20. In Nur-Sultan, the Kurban Ait holiday will be held online, the sacrifices will be carried out through the website of Kazakhstan Muslims Spiritual Administration "qurban2021.kz",- he said.
The Department of Religious Affairs of Nur-Sultan, together with the branch of the SAMK in the city and the relevant state bodies, are carrying out preparatory work, he added.
