Secretaries of RK and RF Security Councils met in Moscow

In Moscow, extensive planned consultations were held between the apparatus of the Security Councils of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Russian Federation, Kazpravda.kz reports with reference to the press service of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
During the talks, chaired by the Assistant to the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan - Secretary of the Security Council Kalmukhanbet Kasymov and Secretary of the Security Council of the Russian Federation Nikolai Patrushev, topical issues of bilateral cooperation were discussed.
The parties examined in detail the state of water security and key aspects of cooperation to conserve ecosystems of transboundary water resources, including the prospects for joint work to improve the Zhayik river basin.
The agenda of the consultations also included the interaction of the two countries to strengthen military-technical cooperation in modern conditions, given the trade and economic restrictions actively applied in the world.
In addition, K. Kasymov and N. Patrushev exchanged views on the situation in the field of regional and international security and the main directions of further development of the partnership.
As a result of the work, specific instructions were given to the relevant state bodies of the two countries.
