Berik Uali, press secretary of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan answered the question whether the Head of State Kassym-Jomart Tokayev was vaccinated from the coronavirus in the interview to the Khabar 24 TV channel, Kazpravda.kz reports.
"In winter, the President said in one of his speeches that he is sure to be vaccinated against CVI, and also called on all citizens to be vaccinated. The Head of State noted that he will be vaccinated with the Kazakh vaccine. In general, he plans to be vaccinated, and I think we will inform the public when this will happen," said Uali.
He also talked about personal plans for vaccination.
“As you know, last year, like many others, I had a coronavirus. I was treated in the hospital for about 20 days, I was in intensive care for five days, I suffered a lot, but thanks to domestic medicine I recovered. I took an antibody test last week. Results showed that the level of antibodies is 74%. Doctors say that it is necessary to be vaccinated when this figure falls below 30%. I am now thinking about getting vaccinated. I do not know whether it will be "Sputnik V" or a domestic vaccine. Most likely my choice will fall on the Kazakhstani vaccine. I want to urge all citizens to be vaccinated", - concluded the press secretary of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
Recall, earlier the President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev announced that he intends to be vaccinated against coronavirus infection with a Kazakhstan-made vaccine.
