Nigmatulin held meetings in St. Petersburg

In the framework of the 50th CIS Parliamentary Assembly in St. Petersburg Majilis speaker Nurlan Nigmatulin held bilateral meetings, Kazpravda.kz reports.
During the meeting with the head of Uzbekistan’s Oliy Majlis, Tanzila Narbaeva, Nigmatulin noted the importance of actively using the potential of inter-parliamentary dialogue to further deepen Kazakh-Uzbek interaction.
According to Nurlan Nigmatulin, the dynamics and content of the summits demonstrate an effective model of bilateral partnership. It was agreed to continue the practice of regular meetings of deputies of relevant committees, cooperation groups to study legislative experience, as well as joint work to expand the legal framework for partnership between Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan.
The parties also noted intensification of interaction between the regions of the two states, especially between the border regions, which, according to Nurlan Nigmatulin, will allow fulfilling the task set by the heads of the two states to increase trade by the end of 2020 to $5 billion.
The head of Moldovan Parliament, Zinaida Greceanii expressed interest in strengthening relations with Kazakhstan too.The parties noted promising cooperation areas, specifically, the use of trans-Caspian route.
