Kazakh Ambassador presented credentials to Turkmen President

The Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Turkmenistan Yerkebulan Sapiev was received by President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov to present his credentials, Kazpravda.kz cites the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan reporting.

During the meeting held in the Oguzhan Palace, the leader of Turkmenistan noted the long-standing friendly relations and the atmosphere of mutual trust established between the fraternal nations, solidarity on key issues of the regional and global agenda.

He especially emphasized the significant contribution of the First President of Kazakhstan, Nursultan Nazarbayev, to the establishment of bilateral relations and development of the Kazakh-Turkmen strategic partnership.

The parties discussed a number of pressing issues, including development of political and diplomatic dialogue, trade-economic cooperation, scientific, technical and culture- humanitarian interaction.

On the same day, the Kazakh ambassador met with the Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers - Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov to present copies of credentials.
