This year’s G20 leaders' summit themed "Realizing opportunities of the 21st century for all" will be held in an online format amid the coronavirus pandemic, the G20 Saudi Secretariat said in a statement, published on Monday on the G20 website, Kazpravda.kz refers to Tass.ru reporting.
The statement highlights the role that the G20 nations have played in the fight against the pandemic. In addition to the $ 21 billion contributed to the production and distribution of vaccines and ensuring access to treatment for the population, the G20 countries have allocated $ 11 trillion to safeguard the global economy, the secretariat says.
In addition to the problems associated with the coronavirus, a number of other topics will be brought up at the summit, specifically innovations.
