Askar Mamin held talks with Mikhail Mishustin

Kazakhstan Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan Askar Mamin held a bilateral meeting with Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Mikhail Mishustin, who arrived in Almaty to participate in a meeting of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council (EIGC) and the Digital Almaty forum. This was reported by the press service of the head of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Kazpravda.kz reports.
The parties discussed issues of bilateral cooperation in trade and economic, financial and investment, energy, transport and logistics, geological, military-technical spheres, as well as industrial cooperation, agro-industrial complex, rational use and protection of water resources of transboundary rivers.
Topical issues of interaction in the format of the Eurasian Economic Union were also considered.
Particular attention was paid to joint measures to combat the spread of COVID-19 and leveling the consequences of the pandemic for the economies of the two countries, including through the preparation and implementation of the Comprehensive Program of Economic Cooperation for 2021-2025.
As noted in the press service, Russia is one of the main trade partners of Kazakhstan. Bilateral trade in 2020 exceeded $ 18 billion.
