Three districts of West Kazakhstan region extinguishing fires

Fires are being extinguished in three districts of the West Kazakhstan region, Kazpravda.kz reports with reference to the press service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
Since the beginning of August, an increase in air temperature up to +41 C has been observed on the territory of the West Kazakhstan region, in some places an extreme fire hazard remains.
“The cases of wildfires have become more frequent. Fire fighters are extinguishing fire in Akzhaik, Baiterek and Terekty districts. The area of the fire is approximately 480 hectares, 90 of which are forest and 390 hectares - dry grass,” the Emergency Situations Department said.
There are no dead or injured in the fires that have occurred. Causes of fires, perpetrators and material damage are being established.
“The forces and means of the departments of Emergency Situations of the WKR, FAO "Ort Sondirushi", Atyrau branch of JSC "Kazaviaspas", DPF of settlement districts and peasant farms and SE for protection of forests and wildlife took part in the elimination of the above fires.
A Kazaviaspas helicopter was used for extinguishing fire from the air. 198 cubic meters of water were dropped on the fires", - noted in the department.
The Ministry of Emergency Situations reminds of the need to comply with fire safety rules. In the event of a fire, immediately call the emergency numbers 101 or 112.
