According to him, a pre-trial investigation was launched and in the operational-search measures, a 36-year-old resident of Semey, who had previously been repeatedly convicted of similar crimes, was identified and detained on suspicion of committing this theft. He said that he had stolen the equipment and handed it over to a scrap metal collection point for personal gain.
“By the verdict of the court No. 2 of Semey, the man was found guilty and sentenced to 3 years in prison,” he added.
The approach lights are used to illuminate the runway, for a safe and comfortable landing of aircraft at night, at dusk or in bad weather conditions. During landing and takeoff, the aircraft pilot uses these lights to control the position of the aircraft, as the view from the cockpit is limited.
