Extinguishing a large fire in the forest zone of Ridder continues, Kazpravda.kz reports with reference to the Emergencies Department of the East Kazakhstan region.
"At 7 a.m. on May 11, the elimination of the fire in the village Leskhoz was announced, extinguishing continues in the forest zone. The following are involved in extinguishing the fire: emergency department - 136 people, 23 pieces of equipment; forestry - 161 people, 2 helicopters, 17 pieces of equipment; local executive bodies - 29 people, 16 pieces of equipment; PVASS - 47 people, 5 pieces of equipment," the message says.
It is noted that the forces of the Police Department of the East Kazakhstan region, consisting of 120 people and 8 patrol crews, cordon off and guard the empty houses at the site of the fire in order to suppress the facts of looting.
At 07:30, two additional MI-8 helicopters flew to the rescue from Pavlodar and Nur-Sultan.
Recall that on May 10 a forest fire spread to the village Leskhoz (near Ridder) of the East Kazakhstan region. The area of the fire was 310 hectares. Two injured men born in 1949 and 1980 were hospitalized with burns. Also at the scene the charred corpse of a woman born in 1948 was found.
