Man detained in Zhambyl region when stocking up almost a ton of drugs

In the Zhambyl region, the police, together with the servicemen of the National Guard, detained a 49-year-old Kazakhstani while stocking up almost a ton of drugs, Kazpravda.kz reports with reference to the Instagram account of the National Guard.
A resident of the Bayzak district was detained in the pre-sand zone of the Shu district while harvesting cannabis with a total weight of 928 kilograms. During a personal search of the detainee, law enforcement officers found cannabis resin, which is a narcotic substance, weighing 0.320 grams.
A criminal case was initiated against the man under article 297 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan "Illegal possession for the sale of narcotic drugs on an especially large scale." The suspect is now in the TDF.
