In Almaty region a man attacked an armwrestling opponent with a knife

The man stabbed his opponent in armwrestling in Almaty region, Kazpravda.kz reports with reference to Polisia.kz.
The duty station of the Uygur district received a message from the medical workers of the regional hospital that they received a 26-year-old citizen with a penetrating knife wound. The investigative and operational group that went to the scene confirmed this fact.
“A 39-year-old resident of Almaty was detained in the course of operational-search activities. As it became known, the victim together with the suspect and other acquaintances drank alcohol. After that, the men decided to compete in armwrestling. It was then that a quarrel arose between them, during which citizen P. stabbed the victim twice with a kitchen knife,” said Igor Kalmakov, head of the Uygur Regional Police Department.
Criminal proceedings have been initiated against the suspect in accordance with Part 1 of Article 106 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The seized knife was attached to the case file. Other details were not specified in the interests of the investigation.
