Four killed, two injured- military plane crashed near Almaty
In a military plane crash near Almaty, four people were killed, two were injured, Kazpravda.kz refers to the press service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Kazakhstan reporting.
"On March 13, at 17.25, information was received from the dispatch service of the Almaty airport that at 17.22 the military aircraft AN-26 on Nur-Sultan-Almaty route, had disappeared from the radar and made an emergency landing at the Almaty airport," the ministry said in an official statement.
Fire Department-11 units, the Republican operational rescue crews are in place, as well as other rescue and ambulance teams of Almaty.
According to preliminary data, 4 people were killed, 2 injured were taken to the nearest hospital in the Ili area.
The plane's fire was extinguished, the press service added.
