15 trains stopped in Shymkent due to derailment

Derailment with overturning of 13 cars occurred at the railway station in Shymkent, Kazpravda.kz reports.
As reported in the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Kazakhstan, on October 24, 2020 at 02:31 in Shymkent at the railway station, 13 empty cars derailed - part of a train of 21 cars. There are no casualties or injuries.
The official representative of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Kazakhstan Talgat Uali clarified that the derailment of the cars caused the stopping of other trains. According to preliminary data, 5 passenger and 10 freight trains have been stopped.
On the section where the derailment occurred, repair and restoration work is underway, 200 employees of KTZ JSC, 3 units of recovery trains from the stations Shymkent, Arys and Taraz are involved. 6 employees of the Emergency Situations Department of Shymkent and 3 units of equipment, 10 employees of the LOVD station of Shymkent and 1 unit of machinery work at the scene.
It is planned to open one track by 13:00 on October 24 and partially restore train traffic.
