The National Bank of the Republic of Kazakhstan announces the end of the four-year withdrawal term for 2,000, 5,000 and 10,000 tenge banknotes of 2006 issuance year, Kazpravda.kz reports.
These banknotes were launched into circulation on November 15, 2006 and from October 4, 2016 they ceased to be legal means of payment.
At the same time, second-tier banks, the National Post Operator and branches of the National Bank accepted and exchanged the above banknotes for valid banknotes of the national currency. The exchange period lasted for four years.
