The representative of one of the Italian trading agencies in Central Asia, Salvatore Parano, at the first Kazakh-Italian business forum, held the day before in Nur-Sultan, told why Kazakhstan is interesting to Italian investors, Kazpravda.kz reports.

"The industry of Italy and Kazakhstan has a lot in common. Kazakhstan has a lot of minerals, and we have technology, so we will look for opportunities for cooperation in these areas. Today, companies from Italy, which have already invested in Kazakhstan, work efficiently, pay taxes, create new jobs," said Salvatore Parano.

According to him, Kazakhstan also has great potential in the agricultural sector.

"The country can reach great results in this area. In addition, Kazakhstan is located next to the largest markets in the world, where there is a high demand for vegetables and meat, protein, as well as protein products. And we, in turn, have technologies that can provide higher returns on land use, appropriate machinery and equipment. We can provide all this to our partners from Kazakhstan," concluded Salvatore Parano.

In turn, the ambassador on special instructions of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Yerlan Khairov, noted that Kazakhstan provides all the necessary support to foreign investors. He said that investors are exempted from customs duties on input equipment, they are given land for construction of industrial facilities, and tax benefits are provided for especially large projects.

In addition, the Astana International Financial Center provides comprehensive legal support to investors.

We remind that earlier the ambassador on special instructions of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan Yerlan Khairov said that the volume of Italian investments in the economy of Kazakhstan since 2005 amounted to 6.6 billion US dollars. He also noted that to date, over 400 companies with Italian capital have been registered in Kazakhstan, 275 of them are actively working.
