RK Ministry of Trade explained how the rights of consumers to be protected
Kazakhstan plans to create a National Consumer Association with representatives in all regions and introduce an indicator of consumer’s assessment of government agencies and akimats. The Minister of Trade and Integration Bakhyt Sultanov announced this at a meeting of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Kazpravda.kz reports.
"We propose a number of innovations that will raise the system of consumer protection in Kazakhstan to a fundamentally new level. We think it is necessary to consider the possibility of uniting all public consumer organizations to create a National Consumer Association, with a widely branched system of representative offices in the regions," the speaker said.
He also proposed to create an ombudsman institution on the basis of non-governmental organizations.
"It is necessary to introduce a mandatory requirement in the development of regulatory legal acts to analyze the regulatory impact on the interests of consumers and agree with the authorized body. Also, to introduce an indicator for assessing the activities (KPI) of government agencies, akimats and quasi-government organizations, the level of satisfaction and confidence in their work from consumers," the minister added.
He also announced readiness to make appropriate amendments to regulatory legal acts as soon as possible.
