RK Government approved gasification project of Almaty CHP-2
At the meeting chaired by the Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan Askar Mamin, a decision was made on the project to modernize the Almaty CHP-2, Kazpravda.kz reports with reference to the press service of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The project on transfer of CHP-2 from coal to gas through the reconstruction of the existing power boiler units was approved.
The selected option of gasification of the CHP allows using the existing supply and discharge infrastructure. At the same time, the impact on the environment is minimized - there are no emissions of sulfur and ash oxides, a low level of emissions of nitrogen oxides and carbon dioxide.
The project will be implemented gradually by the end of 2025.
