Production of stationary lung ventilators launched in Kazakhstan

Prime Minister Askar Mamin visited the defense industry enterprise Kazakhstan Aselsan Engineering LLP, which in the context of a pandemic organized the production of stationary mechanical ventilation devices (ALV), Kazpravda.kz reports with reference to the press service of the head of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
This device is designed for prolonged ventilation of the lungs of adults and children in intensive care units in hospitals. The ventilator meets the requirements of the Health Ministry of the Republic of Kazakhstan and was successfully tested at the Nur-Sultan Multidisciplinary Infection Center, having received a positive expert opinion from medical specialists.
Today, the industrial assembly of ventilators is carried out with a localization level of up to 30% with the prospect of increasing it to 50 and more percent. The level of localization during the production cycle will increase due to the provision of Kazakhstan Aselsan Engineering LLP with modern technological equipment and high competence of engineering and technical personnel in the field of production of electronic and optical devices. In the production of lung ventilators, the technological potential of other defense enterprises of the Republic of Kazakhstan is involved.
According to the order of the Health Ministry, lung ventilators will be delivered to medical institutions in all regions of the country in the amount of 1,500 units during September-October of this year.
The head of government got acquainted with the production and instructed to ensure timely delivery of products to medical institutions of the country.
Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan Roman Sklyar, Minister of Industry and Infrastructure Development Beibut Atamkulov, Minister of Health Alexei Tsoi and akim of Nur-Sultan Altai Kulginov took part in the inspection of the production site of Kazakhstan Aselsan Engineering LLP.
