In Kazakhstan, the online monitoring of emissions of First Category enterprises will be introduced. This was announced by the Vice Minister of Ecology, Geology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Akhmetzhan Primkulov, Kazpravda.kz reports.
It should be noted that the first category of enterprises includes companies that can potentially cause the greatest harm to the environment.
"Automation of industrial and environmental monitoring is being introduced for enterprises of the "First category." They will have to install special sensors to provide online information on their emissions to the authorized body. We will see in the mode online, which enterprises exceeded the allowed emissions," Primkulov said.
According to him, measures of administrative penalties will be taken in a timely manner. He noted that the administrative fine for environmental violations will be increased 10 times.
“With regard to enterprises of the First Category, a transition to integrated environmental permits will be ensured. This is not an innovation of the new Environmental Code, it is already in force. However, in the new Environmental Code they will be issued on the basis of the best available technologies. Taking into account technological solutions that exist at today's enterprises, as well as on the basis of environmental problems that now exist in Kazakhstan, the national reference books will be created," added Akhmetzhan Primkulov.
He also noted that a number of incentive measures and benefits are provided for the transition of enterprises to modern environmental IT-solutions in production.
