Minister of Trade and Integration Bakhyt Sultanov said that the project to create a National Distribution System will reduce the population's expenses for the purchase of socially significant food products by 10-15% by 2023, Kazpravda.kz reports with reference to the press service of the ministry.
"The economic effect will be about 1.2 trillion tenge from 24 wholesale distribution centers. The productivity of agricultural producers will increase to 460 thousand tons of fruits and vegetables, or 23 billion tenge per year," Sultanov said.
According to the Minister of Trade, as a result of the creation of the NDS, the reduction of losses of producers in the post-harvest period will be about 350 thousand tons of vegetable products in the amount of 13.3 billion tenge per year.
In general, the creation of the NDS will ensure the acceptance, storage and transshipment of more than 2.1 million tons of goods, and create 5 thousand jobs.
"The range of wholesale distribution centers will be more than 20 thousand product names. The national distribution system will provide free access for producers to sales markets "from the field" to the "stall", and consumers - with quality products," Sultanov emphasized.
It should be noted that within the framework of the NDS, a single network of wholesale distribution centers of three types will be created:
- storage (in production areas; they will provide services for acceptance, storage and initial processing);
- trade (in the suburbs of regional centers and cities; they will provide distributors, shops and public catering with access to storage infrastructure for the period of sales, revision, etc.);
- distribution (within cities or suburbs; they will provide logistics services for temporary storage and transshipment of bulk consignments of products for the needs of retail facilities).
