Atyrau Oil Refinery LLP has begun exporting K5 class gasoline to Europe, Kazpravda.kz reports with reference to the press service of the Energy Ministry of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
Atyrau Oil Refinery LLP began shipping the first batch of unleaded gasoline Ai-92 of ecological class K5 in the amount of 1827 tons to European markets. The Energy Ministry of the Republic of Kazakhstan issued a quota for the export of this oil product in November in the amount of 35 606 tons. This is the largest batch for Kazakhstan in the current month," the report said.
Recall that in Kazakhstan in 2011 there was a ban on the export of light petroleum products. Thus, for the first time since the ban was introduced, the Atyrau refinery resumed shipping abroad the most popular brand of gasoline.
The ministry noted that due to its high quality, Atyrau refinery’s fuel is in demand in European countries.
For 10 months of 2019, the Atyrau refinery shipped about 970,000 thousand tons of high-octane gasoline to the domestic market, which is 102% compared to the same period in 2018.
