President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev is taking part in the Ulytau-2019 International Tourism Forum, Kazpravda.kz cites the Akorda Twitter informing.
"In the near future, Kazakhstan may become one of the most attractive destinations to foreign and domestic tourists, as well as one of the world centers of ethno-tourism. It is necessary to ensure the information availability on the tourism potential of Kazakhstan through creative and innovative solutions," K. Tokayev said.
“We have adopted a sectoral state program. Its full implementation will increase the share of tourism in GDP to 8%. The number of inbound visitors should grow to 9 million, and domestic tourists to 8 million. The hired staff in this area should be increased to 650 thousand people. ", - the President of Kazakhstan added.
He called for the development of an integrated application or a platform providing tourists with updates on Kazakhstan, and especially on Ulytau and other historical places.
"Given the serious multiplier effect of the tourism industry, we should maximally attract business for the construction of guest houses, catering and recreation facilities in all the recreational areas of Kazakhstan, including through the capabilities of Atameken NCE," the President urged.
