Farmers’ expenses will be more than 15% reduced after digitalization - Mamin
Digitalization in crop and livestock production allows up to 20% more harvest and livestock production. At the same time, the farmers’ expenses will be reduced by more than 15%, Kazpravda.kz correspondent refers to Prime Minister Askar Mamin, announcing this at the Government meeting.
"In accordance with Nur Otan party’s new electoral program, the task is enhancing labor productivity in the agro-industrial complex by 2.5 times and doubling the export of products, 70% of which must be processed. One of the important tools in achieving these goals is complete digitalization agro-industrial complex of the country, which will reduce the cost of production, improve its quality and competitiveness, "Mamin said.
According to him, digitalization will cover more than 100 million hectares of the cropland. This will require 50 billion tenge of investments within the PPP framework.
"The intermediate results of the digitization of the industry already have a positive experience. Heads of farms spoke about it today. Digitalization in crop and livestock production allows up to 20% more crops and livestock products. At the same time, the farmer's expenses will be reduced by more than 15%. Due to digitalization, grain harvest will grow to 25 million tons per year," the Prime Minister added.
