Energy Minister said when construction of CHPP-3 completes in Nur-Sultan
At the plenary meeting of the Majilis of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan, during the discussion of the draft republican budget for 2022-2024, the Energy Minister Magzum Mirzagaliyev, answering the questions of the deputies, said that the CHPP -3 in the capital would be completed in 2023, Kazpravda.kz correspondent reports.
As the deputy Duysenbay Turganov noted, the population of the capital daily increases by an average of 50 thousand people, naturally, the demand for heat and electricity is also growing. In the draft three-year budget, 27.9 billion tenge is allocated for implementation of the project, and taking into account the previously allocated funds, the amount is 112.9 billion tenge, however, 122 billion tenge is needed to complete the project.
“The missing amount is about nine billion tenge. If urgent measures are not taken to commission CHPP -3, the situation may lead to problems in providing the population and the economy with the necessary amount of heat energy," - said the deputy.
According to Magzum Mirzagaliyev, the project has been running since 2010, and its implementation is scheduled for 2023, and the missing amount will be allocated in subsequent years. Meanwhile, this answer did not satisfy the chairman of the Majilis Nurlan Nigmatulin
"Why are the missing funds not included in the three-year budget?" - he asked.
According to the Minister of Energy, the ministry sent a corresponding application, but due to the limited budget, funds were not provided.
