Dozens of construction projects in Nur-Sultan were under threat of failure, Kazpravda.kz reports with reference to the press service of the city Chamber of Entrepreneurs.
The timely commissioning of 31 objects by three administrators of budget programs was in question.
The deadlines are coming for the construction department - 10 objects, the fuel and energy complex and communal services department - 16 objects, and the transport and road infrastructure development department - 5 objects.
According to the general director of the construction company Irina Manzhanova, the situation can be corrected by extending the deadlines for fulfilling obligations under public procurement contracts or releasing contractors from liability if there is a violation of the construction deadlines (when construction and installation work is suspended while the project is being corrected due to the rise in the cost of materials).
"In total, three administrators of budget programs have a deficit of more than 100 billion tenge. 17 out of 31 objects passed the audit procedure for the intended use of funds, for 3 projects the budget commission considered applications. To avoid negative consequences for contractors - fines, inclusion in the register of unscrupulous suppliers, there is a need to extend the deadlines for fulfilling obligations under the concluded contracts for the period of the adjustment," said Irina Manzhanova.
In turn, the director of the Chamber of Entrepreneurs of Nur-Sultan, Almat Dzhunusov, noted that all the issues voiced were included in the Register of problematic issues of the National Chamber of Entrepreneurs of the Republic of Kazakhstan "Atameken" for their solution at the republican level.
