Cinema tickets in Kazakhstanis are 16% up in price in a year

In Kazakhstan, in March this year, the cost of cinema tickets reached 1.5 thousand tenge - immediately by 16% more than a year earlier, Energyprom.kz reports.
The most expensive tickets among the country's large cities and megalopolises are in Shymkent (2.6 thousand tenge), Atyrau (2.5 thousand tenge) and Aktobe (2.1 thousand tenge). The cheapest tickets are in Turkestan (only 800 tenge).
The cost of tickets decreased over a year in Kostanay (by 3.5%, to 1.3 thousand tenge) and in Semey (by 2.7%, to 1.1 thousand tenge)
Excluding the non-observed sector of the economy, the volume of services provided amount to 40.5 billion tenge.
Film market participants call another lockdown deadly for the domestic distribution, zakon.kz says. Gross receipts over the country have already dropped by 52.1%. According to the state center for support of the national cinema, the average occupancy rate of cinemas today is barely approaching 10%, although the minimum planned occupancy rate should be at least 30%.
