Prime Minister of Kazakhstan, Askar Mamin, paid a working visit to one of the leading industrial regions of Kazakhstan - Aktobe region, Kazpravda.kz reports with reference to the press service of the Prime Minister.
The Prime Minister assessed performance of the state program of industrial-innovative development and the follow-up of President Tokayev’s orders on development of regional economies.
In the regional center, the Prime Minister visited the Aktobe Ferroalloy Plant, a branch of Kazchrome JSC, a world major enterprise in the quality of chrome ore and second largest in production and supply of alloys.He called at the mining and processing complex at the Voskhod deposit in Khromtau with a capacity of 1 million tons of ore per year.
It was reported to him that since the beginning of 2019, the industrial production volume in Aktobe region increased by 4.9%, exceeding 1 trillion tenge, incl. chromium ore production that has grown by 5.7%.
In Baiganinsk and Mugalzhars districts, the Head of the Government examined the gas processing enterprises, specifically Gas Processing Company LLP, Zhanazhol Gas Processing Plant SNPS-Aktobemunaigas JSC, focusing there on the process of technological modernization of factories and introduction of modern digital solutions.
Askar Mamin held a workshop on the development of the oil and gas industry on the territory of the Zhanazholsky gas processing plant, attended by heads of state bodies, oil and gas sector enterprises and trade unions. Topical issues of the development of the industry, regulation of labor relations, implementation of initiatives to increase the level of income, the share of Kazakhstan specialists by introducing new approaches in the training of qualified personnel were considered.
Askar Mamin emphasized the need to develop and introduce legislative changes, in particular, to prevent discrimination of the rights of workers on wages, to ensure safe working conditions, also to pay special attention to environmental safety in the development of deposits and respect for natural resources.
The PM then visited the construction site of the Republican highway Aktobe - Atyrau - the border of the Russian Federation (Astrakhan) with a length of 319 km, reconstruction of the local highway South bypass of Aktobe, and the multifunctional roadside service complex IBG LLP Catering.
To size up the housing issues in the region, Askar Mamin visited the Nur Aktobe microdistrict under construction, where over 2 thousand apartments will be commissioned before the end of this year.
At the end of the working visit, he examined the investment projects of the agro-industrial complex implemented in the region - the meat processing plant of Aktyubinsk Meat Cluster LLP and the Ais dairy farm.
