During a working trip to Almaty region, Prime Minister Askar Mamin, along with Vagit Alekperov, CEO of Lukoil PJSC, attended the launch of the lubricants production of the Lukoil Lubricants Central Asia LLP in Ili district, Kazpravda.kz reports with reference to the press service of Kazakhstan Prime Minister.
The Prime Minister noted that opening of the Lukoil plant in Kazakhstan, which has invested $ 9.5 billion in the country's hydrocarbon sector, corresponds to the current vector of development of the country's oil and gas industry, namely, transition from extractive direction to advanced processing.
The plant's capacity is 100 thousand tons of products per year - over 800 types of oils. The production is designed to provide lubricants for the internal market of Kazakhstan and the countries of Central Asia, as well as China, Afghanistan and Mongolia. Proximity of the Western Europe-Western China highway enables optimization of logistics processes.
The total investment in the construction and equipment of the enterprise amounts to $ 94 million. The project was implemented in accordance with the requirements of Kazakhstan legislation and international law in the field of industrial safety, labor protection and environmental protection.
In the presence of the Prime Minister of Kazakhstan, an agreement was signed "On joint exploration of sites in the Republic of Kazakhstan" between Lukoil PJSC and KazMunayGas JSC NC.
