14 railway bridges will be repaired in Kazakhstan by the end of 2021, Kazpravda.kz refers to the press service of Kazakhstan Temir Zholy JSC announcing.
“By the end of 2021, railway bridges will be repaired in Almaty, West Kazakhstan, South Kazakhstan, East Kazakhstan, Karaganda regions. Tulkubas-Zhambyl, Takibay-Zhana-Semey. Besides, in 2021, repairs will begin on a large bridge across the Ural River of the Zhelaevo-Poima section with a length of 728 meters (built in 1917), "the company says.
It is noted that in total there are over 3500 bridges on the network of KTZh JSC.
"As part of the production program in 2021, the company will also continue updating the fixed assets of the railway infrastructure, increasing the traffic safety level and the speed of passenger and freight trains," the company added.
