In the village of Ushtagan, Mangistau district, Mangistau region, a movie is being filmed based on the novel by Smagul Elubai "Ak boz uy", Kazpravda.kz correspondent reports with reference to the press service of Mangistau district akimat.
Filming started on May 25 and will continue until June 20. Specialists from Almaty arrived in the region to work on the movie. Honored Art Worker of Kazakhstan Kairat Kemal plays one of the main roles. The film is directed by the son of the author of the novel, Bekarys Elubay.
"The work" Ak boz uy "tells of the time of the famine that followed collectivization in the Kazakh steppe in the 30s of last century. It tells the story of one family. We started filming from the village of Ushtagan. Its inhabitants willingly take part in the process and give us great support," film the director of the Bekarys Elubay said.
The historical tape is expected to be presented in March 2022.
