During the reception, opportunities and specific ways of developing eco- and ethno-tourism in Kazakhstan were discussed.
Zhandos Kontorbay said that his business in Mongolia is doing well- he meets tourists from foreign countries, famous politicians and stars, settles them in yurts and shows the life of nomads. The businessman announced his readiness to share the experience.
“According to him, foreigners are very interested in this way of life: far from the achievements of civilization, closer to nature. That is why residents of the United States and Western Europe have a great interest in Kazakhstan. Kontorbay plans to introduce his business experience in the near future in Central and Eastern Kazakhstan. He even identified regions favorable for development of ethnic tourism and held meetings with local residents,” the press service said.
Development of eco-and ethno-tourism, especially in rural areas can become a good source of income for local residents, he believes.
The parties expressed their intention to hold a second meeting to determine specific ways for attracting tourists to Kazakhstan.
It will be recalled that Zhandos Kontorbay placed the eldest son and grandson of U.S. President Donald Trump in a Kazakh yurt, in which they lived nine days. Donald Trump Jr. spoke about this experiences in Instagram. He enjoyed the adventure.
