Ancient burial grounds found in Karaganda region
Scientists believe that the mounds are related to the "Bronze Age".
Four burial grounds of ancient people with ceramic things and gold ornaments were found by archeologists near the village Besoba in Karaganda region, Kazpravda.kz reports citing Liter.kz.
It is reported that the archaeological expedition of E.A. Buketov University investigated two large mounds of the "bronze age" at the outskirts of Besoba village in Karkaralinsk area. Diameter of the cemeteries reaches 25 meters at a height of about 2 meters.
"The monuments have a complex funerary architecture," – said the leader of the expedition Ph.D. Igor Kukushkin.
According to the publication, currently the regional cultural department plans to conduct restoration of works at Besoba necropolis, which will be a kind of an open-air museum.
