Promptly tackled. PM Karim Masimov has paid a working visit to West-Kazakhstan oblast

The Government leader last visited Priuralye six months ago . In that lapse of time dozens of industrial-innovative projects have been implemented, and the region with a host of new housing developments is still under a social rebuild, although not spared of the problems that were promptly handled on the spot.

Nine regional industrial-innovative projects, mostly rural, are entered on industrialization Map. And it is only natural, for as the President pointed time and again crises open up new opportunities to the agro-sector.

The first district on the PM’s itinerary was Yanaikino, Zelenosk, rounding off construction of a cattle fattening complex and already installing the equipment there. An agreement has been reached on meat export to European countries.

At the PM’s meeting with agro-producers after seeing the complex the agriculture minister Ahylbek Kurishbayev and the oblast deputy-governor Yerbol Salykov stated a no easy situation in agriculture brought about by a severe drought that had ruined the bigger part of the grain crops. The agriculture is in for a lean year, which makes credit and leasing debts repayment problematic.

Pledging support to the agro-producers K.Masimov promptly decreed to form a task group to cure the drought effects. To supply the population with bread grain is to be brought there from other regions, with measures undertaken to save the livestock too. Given the oblast’s location in the risk land farming zone the program for the region’s agriculture development will be amended.

In Kushum rural district, finalizing construction of licorice-processing production, equipped with modern Indian machinery the PM was shown around the facilities. The production’s director Murat Tulegenov said that in the long term they were thinking of setting up a pharmaceutical and a candy manufacture that will be waste-free. They will be producing feed additives for cattle. In Zelenovsk district, supported by the state new farms, hothouses and vegetable storages are constructed, which implies more job opportunities to the local population.

The PM was on the construction site of an oblast children clinic of 200 patient beds, which is in Uralsk suburban Zachansk – a new district of the oblast center with lots of estate developments. It is in need of a substation to supply it with electric power, to construct which takes 2bn tenge. The oblast governor Bakytkozha Izmuhambetov requested the government’s assistance in it.

K.Masimov also attended a launching ceremony of a town clinic of 500 visits per shift and talked to its staff on the need for better healthcare services.

After that he was on the site of a new commissioned 90-appartment house constructed on the program “Accommodation to the young” and congratulated new tenants. The final place to see was “Shagan” auto check point, where the PM bade to develop ties with adjacent districts of Russia.

At the tallying-up conference the topics covered were problems of the Ural trans-border river, the Karachaganak investors’ share in the social projects, Kazakhstan’s content and employment of local staff, passenger traffic in the Transurals region.

At the follow-up briefing K.Masimov informed the media of the taken important solutions, measures to be undertaken together with the Russians for improvement of the Ural river eco-system. These are yet to be endorsed at the conference on border cooperation this September in Ust-Kamenogorsk.

Talks are underway on boosting Kazakhstan’s share in Karachaganak project. The environment protection ministry is to take measures to improve the ecological situation around Berezovka rural district.

In the phone talk with President N.Nazarbayev the latter supported the slated governmental measures and pledged support to the region.

In general the oblast’s socioeconomic development is making a good pace, in the right direction too, the PM summarized.
