Yesterday the Majilis chairman Ural Muhamedjanov met with the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary ambassador of Japan to Kazakhstan Sigeo Natsui, terminating his mission in Kazakhstan, the official source of the lower house informs.

Thanking for support the ambassador said that through joint efforts the legal basis for cooperation between the two countries had been improved, agreements were reached on dual taxation avoidance and on nuclear power use. The recent visit to Astana of the Japanese MPs’ delegation was an important step in bilateral relations’ development too.

The speaker in his turn mentioned a new bill about to be ratified – on investments’ protection, and a planned Majilis delegation’s visit to Japan.

U.Muhametjanov thanked the diplomat for the mission in Kazakhstan and wished him success in his future work, and S.Natsui said that in Kazakhstan he had opened a new world to himself – the country’s history and folk traditions.
