Yesterday President Nursultan Nazarbayev inspected the “North light” housing complex and the “Emerald quarter” administrative compound currently under construction on the left bank in Astana and funded by the “Estate fund Samruk-Kazyna” within the state anti-crisis program. In all the fund has contracts for funding construction of 27 unfinished objects, which in all amounts to the sum of 90,47bn tenge. Out of these construction sites 24 are in the capital, two in Almaty and one in Almaty oblast.
The “North light” HC is one of the left-bank sights with three unusually-shaped glass towers of 33, 37 and 42 floors. The first and highest towers were commissioned in 2007-2009, but then the crisis broke out and the construction company had problems in finishing the rest. That’s when “Samruk-Kazyna” estate fund came to their rescue, investing over 25bn tenge two years ago.At present a business-class house of 165 apartments 30 of which are the equity construction holders’ and the rest bought out by the fund at the price of 120 thousand tenge per sqm is under commissioning. The latter (the rest) will be rented with subsequent buying out. All the flats are fine-finished and ready for moving in. The President pledged all the equity holders problems would have been settled in the next year. -Rented accommodation, he said is a good option too. In the interview to media the board chairman of the “Basis-A” corporation Alexander Belovich marked it was a good instance of support to business. – In a short term the state has put the estate fund on its feet, through which the equity holders’ problems were settled and the construction pace is sustained. Besides it gave jobs. In all there are 620 apartments in the entire “North light” HC, in which upon commissioning of a third house-block nearly two thousand people will live. This complex is a mixture of engineering idea and creation, all the three buildings of which are joined by a big glass slab, with a parking lot and a kindergarten nearby, a sport complex, a restaurant, shopping facilities and a beauty salon. The next site to see was a 39-storey administrative building of the “Emerald quarter” complex to be commissioned this November that takes up over 112 thousand sqm and into which 25bn tenge was funneled. The President was also shown models of unfinished construction objects the “Samruk-Kazyna” NWF is working on. The fund’s representatives updated the President on the interim results of their work: by date they fund construction of 24 sites in Astana and three in Almaty and Almaty oblast. When commissioned they will settle the problems of 3 thousand equity holders, and another 5 thousand apartments will be rented with subsequent buying out. At the briefing the President shared on the construction plan for Astana new administrative center. – A media center will be built to house “Khabar” agency, “Kazakhstan” corporation and other TV companies. It is going to be a new media complex with modern studios. Besides the Palace of schoolchildren, Kazakhstan history museum, opera and ballet theatre and other objects will be built. By the 20th year of independence the capital will have new facilities. The same day N.Nazarbayev went to see the “Astana-Arena” stadium, where a football match of EURO 2012 was played between Kazakhstan and Turkey. Asel Mukanova, Kuralai Sheriazdanova
