On the first day of a new school year President Nursultan Nazarbayev visited the ethno-memorial complex “Kazakhstan’s map Atameken” where he was shown a new diorama pavilion opened for 15th anniversary of RK Constitution. The state leader met with senior pupils - members of a youth club “Patriots of “Atameken” and congratulated them on the Day of knowledge during the talk.

The complex comprising over four hundred models has thoroughly prepared for a new school year: partially they replaced exhibits and restored the old objects. A new diorama pavilion is the main present for the capital’s residents and guests.

The President was shown around by the young guides from the youth club “Patriots of “Atameken”: each diorama – an arched semi-circular picture reflects this or that epoch – times of Sakis and Huns, great Turks and Kazakh khanate. Special place is taken up by military events: Kazakh-Jungar war and its biggest and decisive Anrakai battle, The Great Patriotic War and Panfilov division’s feat.

Virgin lands’ cultivation is the base of diorama “Tselinograd-Akmola”, and of course the exposition is crowned by the young capital Astana and its main symbols – Baiterek, Kazakh eli monument and the Palace of Peace and Concord.

After the excursion the President talked to the young people and answered their questions on his interests and hobbies. In the conclusion the President was presented an album and a picture painted by one of the club’s members.
