Yesterday, on the eve of their professional holiday the minister for communications and information, Askar Zhumagaliyev congratulated telecom workers on the honorary title “Honored telecom worker” for exemplary service, excellent management, personal input in development of the branch given to 95 employees of “Kazakhtelecom”, Kazpochta (Kazakhstan post), “Altel”, “Bitelecom” and other companies. Although telecom is traditionally deemed as a male domain, among the awarded were 13 women.

According to the minister, rural districts’ residents will soon be able to watch 35 TV channels after the satellite TV is launched in December. He was confident the home telecom would keep enhancing its scientific-technical potential through proficiency, responsibility, knowledge, talent and experience of its representatives for providing a better quality and more services to the population.
